Got all my ADRs except Le Cellier. Booked. So I'm wondering if Le Cellier is the new CRT because I had NO problem getting my ADR for CRT.

We're going to keep trying for Le Cellier, it's my favorite!

We're going the end of September, begining of Oct. I've changed my ressies for Le Cellier four times, and so far I've been able to get seats each time. We are only two, though and we wanted later, so maybe that's why.

I was at Le Cellier on a Saturday night a few years ago and they were turning away walk ups. I heard the hostess say that they were full for the night. This is one place that I make sure I try to get as soon as I can. Chef Mickey's is another one that we have been going to for years, and all of a sudden it got very popular.

I think CRT is a waste of money now. We had the lunch there last August, when there were lots of characters in the room, and the price was a little less expensive. For what you are getting now, it is overpriced. The breakfast at Norway is really nice and you see the princesses, too.

I've heard that sometimes they are booked for weeks at a time. Honestly, it is a fun place with good food, but I don't think it's the ultimate dining experience. :earsboy:

We booked an ADr 179 days from when we wanted it, for 2 adults 1 child and we got the last time slot for 7pm! Wow.... i agree its hard to get in here.

CRT is not worth the money now IMHO. Once in a life time is great, but there are better places to eat. CRt is about eating in the caste etc, not the food or service.

Hmmm, now you guys are making me want to try for Le Cellier. Could it be that when we see on these boards that certain things are "hard to get" we want them more?

I ate at Le Cellier last trip and enjoyed it. I am sure I will dine there again, but it wasn't on my list for our trip in Oct/Nov.

I am 180+10 from check in today and I had no trouble getting CRT. Now I am rethinking it. I agree, the food was not so great, but my DD is 7 and she is starting to be "over" the princesses so I am thinking this may be the last trip she cares to eat there. (Yes, we did the Norway lunch with the princesses last trip. It was good but we kind of want to eat in the castle at least once more!)

FYI, Le Cellier started off as a "signature" rest. on the DP (2 credits) but, switched over to 1 early on the first year.

Tables for 2 are limited there & reportedly difficult to obtain during F&W, CP & free dining periods.

Probably our favorite non-charactar WDW rest.

I had more trouble getting the time I wanted at Chef Mickeys. I pretty much had my choice of times for Le Cellier. Keep trying :sunny:

What I think people fail to menition about LeCellier, is how small the actual resturant is compared to other restuarants. I think that is one of the main reasons why its harder to get reservations there. I was really suprised how small it was the first time I went.

I think it's probably outweighing CRT in popularity right now due to value - esp on the dining plan. CRT is mediocre food for 2 credits (or heafy $$) while LeCellier is better food, service, and more bang for your buck on 1 credit. Plus, 1900 now has a dinner with Cindy that I've heard it better food and it's 1 credit.

That's really it -- the restaurant is pretty small. The only reason why they can accommodate as many as they do is by stuffing as many extra tables they can into the place.

I just hope all this popularity doesn't move it back to Signature status. We went last fall for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the food (ds2.5's demeanor I could have done without! :rotfl: ) I am very much looking forward to returning to it this November for my birthday dinner while DS3.5 is with my IL's!!!!!!!!

Is this character dining since it is being compared to CRT and Chef Mickey?

No, it's not character, but it does have a lot of character. I really liked the atmosphere and the food. Kids tried new things and we really enjoyed the service. We booked it again for our upcoming trip.

:thumbsup2

Well, we missed our early morning ADR at CM's in late March and called last minute to try and get an ADR in Epcot. COral Reef was full, but we got an ADR for Le Cellier for the same day at 5:00. Maybe its hard during free dining? Food was good, and my DS11 wants to go back. No way unless we do the dining plan again.

I think it must be the free dining time also- I called yesterday for 10/1-10/5 and they only had 2 lunch times and 1 dinner time available. We will be a party of 5 and was told that may be why it was hard to get too- you may want to split a big party and ask them to make a request to push the tables together- we did this last year and had no problems scheduling during free dining time. Don't forget to get the cheese soup-mmm!!! :wizard:

We were not going to take the kids.....Didn't seem like a fun restaurant for kids. But us (2 couples) have always wanted to try it because we hear the food is fabulous !!!
So, my question is:
One poster mentioned it was Fun..Why????
And
What is so Fun about the atmopshere??
We have the DDP (not the free one).
:tilt: :tink:

We have already eaten at Le Cellier in 2000 and 2002. I started booking my ADRs at 5 months out because I had to make arrangements and hammer things out. I could only get a table for 5 on one of our nights. We have no desire to split tables--and belive me, no one wants to sit by my girls (14 and 11) who are always fighting. I think parties over 4 will have much more trouble booking this.
But it's worth it and it is the menu I check the most often on Deb's site! I plan on really getting my $ worth there!

We are going Disney for 10 days in August. I tried to get Le Cellier 5 different nights for our family of 5 and no luck. I did end up splitting our tables one night just so we can try the restaurant, lol!! I did get everything else I wanted though, so I can't complain!!
