Is late arrival ever a problem?

Our flight is scheduled to arrive at mco at 8:15 pm. We have never arrived that late before. Do I need to notify BWV if we arriving after a certain time or will our room be held for us? I don't want to worry that they think we are no shows!!! I plan to do online check in.

Your room will be cancelled if the next day rolls over and you haven't shown up. So that would be around 6AM the next morning. You should be fine.

I remember one time, pre-DME, there were so many weather delays that our 7:30 planned time became 3:30 the next morning. We never thought to call anyone and our room was there (and ready!)

There's nothing terribly unusual about arriving at that time - we do it frequently with travel from the west coast.

When you check-in online, I think there's an opportunity to indicate your arrival time, and then I'd state there what time you expect to arrive. Keep the number of the resort handy, and if you're delayed and won't arrive before midnight, I'd call. You do not want to risk being considered a no-show, because then your whole stay is cancelled.

We've arrived late on several occasions.... Usually due to bad weather (thunderstorms in Orlando) or traffic. It's not an issue. We just know not to make ADRs if we are traveling later in the day! :hourglass

I will do that. Thanks!

No reservations that night. The next night though we are going to BOG for dinner!

Late arrival is not a problem as far as having a room available. I am convinced however that your chances of getting your room request met diminishes the later you arrive.

I don't disagree about room requests diminishing... First come gets the better rooms, perhaps. But we always arrive late (2am this year!) and so far with DVC we have not had any issues.

This is our first time staying at BWV so I don't even know what to request so I didn't request anything . We have a one bedroom standard view.

Definitely get the worst rooms! Our UK flights don't get in until late and we have never had our request honoured yet as earlier arrivals obviously get to push us out of allocated room.

Anyone note if when you are traveling with another group and they get in earlier of rooms are still placed near each other? The other family in our group is getting in early and us late...does them checking in early help our odds to be near each other?
