Just booked a sort of last minute trip for May. Love Ohana but nothing but late ressies left (will keep checking of course.) We have a 4 and 6 year old. Thinking of Kona instead-never been. Is it kid friendly for these ages? TIA!

It sure is. And it's a great restaurant too. WAAAAYYYYY better than 'Ohana. :thumbsup2

I haven't been to either but have ADR's for Ohana's in April. We'll try out Kona's next time!

Doesn't have any character meals, and there is no entertainment for the kids like at 'Ohana. But they have a children's menu and many families with children eat there.

It isn't entertaining for kids but it's certainly not anti-kids. We took our 5 & 2 year old there last time. It was fine.

My kids (5 and 6 at the time of the last trip) had a great time at Kona! They don't do the fun coconut races or anything like at Ohana but they food was more to their liking and our server was terrific and they were fathoms deep in love with the desserts mom and dad were entitled to eat which the server walked us past to drool over. They've requested to go there again and we likely shall.

My girls (4 and 6 at the time) loved their breakfast at Kona. DD #1 had french toast, #2 had pancakes, and they both tried and enjoyed my Tonga Toast.

NOTHING tops ohana's IMHO, but Kona was definately good too. As far as kid-friendly.... just like any non-character restaurant for the kids! My girls did fine there when they were 6 and 2.
