Is Kona Cafe closing?

Of course, if something takes its place, all it has to do is serve Chicken Skewers and apparently it will book full every night!

I just received a lengthy email from the General Manager of the Poly detailing the work going on in the next while at the Resort. It was sent as updated information in light of our upcoming stay at the Poly.

It contained not a mention of Kona.. it did mention the GCH renovation, the closure of the Nanea Pool, & the temporary relocation of Captain Cook's while the original is renovated. But no mention of Kona.

Anyway I would fully expect a refurb at the least for Kona it definitely needs it the "theming" is really lacking..

Lol, I agree with RalphinSC.

While we were eating our Tonga Toast at Kona, a couple weeks ago, I asked the server, who has worked there for decades, what will the cm's do if the restaurant closes for renovations? She said they were told it definitely would not be closing.
