Hi! I'm a Kindergarten teacher.....here in Texas, it is not mandatory. It IS mandatory that a child attend school if they are 6 by September 1st. That leaves out most kindergarteners - in fact, it leaves out my entire class!!
From a teacher's standpoint...I personally took my own DD's out of 1st and 3rd Grade last May for four days to go you-know-where!!!!! I will probably not do it again, simply because my older DD will be...well...older! I say, enjoy!!! Family time is very important, and your DD will enjoy learning experiences along the way!! Have Fun!!!
