Why did sw get rid of so many nonstops?…

They are trimming the fat because they can’t keep losing money. Changing routes and morphing into a normal airline is the only shot they see at still existing in a few years.

They are. I have October flights booked with them, and I was originally on the last flight of the day (7:55pm), so I can still work during the day. Well, I decided to check on my seating for the flight last night, and when I went into my account, I had an alert. They canceled my original flight and put me on a 5:35pm flight. No notice at all. They canceled and combined the flights, originally there were 4 nonstops to MCO, now it's only two. This isn't the first time I've had this happen with JB. I'm not happy, but it is still better than some of the other options. And I'm sure it will change again before October!

JB has announced new routes to LAS from MCO and EWR. Both routes will have Mint and multiple flights a day.

They did this to us last September, moved our 8pm return flight MCO-JFK to 2:35pm. We cancelled both legs and rebooked FC on Delta for cheaper.

I'm officially done with JB (after my Travel Credits are used up) after the cluster F I went through yesterday. Just happened to check our August flights (BOS-MCO) and noticed they were gone. So went to manage trips and noticed they had changed both our flights and scattered the 6 adults and four children (ages 8,6,6,4) all over the plane. Flight down to Orlando was full so no seats together. Tried changing the flights online but it wouldn't let me. Kept getting a message saying something like "things are going wonky try again later". So I called and after 5 hours on the phone we are on flights and all sitting together. The flight down is earlier than we prefer (8:00AM) but the flight home is actually better (12:00PM).

I'll be switching credit cards. Most likely to Delta. JB has been an absolute disaster to deal with our last few trips!!

My August flights from MHT had a change yesterday but thankfully, it was only a time change. Departing an hour later each way. Not super pleased with it for our flight to MCO, arriving at 720pm now but it is what it is. I regularly check our reservation to make sure there haven't been changed. My youngest is on the spectrum and needs to sit with a parent (yes, I pay to select seats - I'm not taking any chances). American is/was notorious for making changing, like removing flights or completely changing flight times.

I just got a notification about our December JB flights and I was worried they were cancelled but they moved our flight down from 7am to 6am and our flight home leaves 20 minutes later. Phew...but there's still a long time from now until December for them to mess around

I'm checking my August flight daily. And then going on an incognito browser and checking the flights overall for existence.

That's why I'm fling Delta at the end of August for my Aug/Sept trip! It's been a LONG time since I've flown Delta, how is it now? Not flying first class.

As a rule airlines firm up their schedules 2-3 months out barring anything major like what is going on at EWR. Before 3 months it's not uncommon to have flights canceled or times changed by up to hours. With in 3 months it's usually fine tuning and small adjustments.

JetBlue only lasted about 2 years at my home airport before having to pull out. I don't think they could compete with SWA although that was before all the changes at SWA.

A few days ago JetBlue did say they were pulling out of Miami (apologies if this was already mentioned in this thread) come early September.
