I love this show too! Watching her try to fry that chicken last night cracked me up. I agree she's not the brightest bulb but that's what makes it a funny show to watch.

OT, I heard on Inside Edition (or one of the celebrity news shows) that the girl who plays Cecelia on 7th Heaven is really Jessica's sister. I think her name is Ashlee Simpson. I wonder if she is smarter than her sister .

Yes, she really is that moronic, I believe.

I also think that it is her parents fault. Clearly they didn't make her do anything as a child, and now it's catching up to her. She IS spoiled, so spoiled that it makes me sick. She is a 23 year old child!

That being said, I find the show to be highly entertaining. Nick puts up with ALOT, I would have never thought life for them was like that.

I saw her on Oprah and she said some things that weren't very bright on there also, so I don't really think it's an act. I do love the show, I tape it.

I also saw on some show (Access Hollywood?) that she showed up at some conference of managers or whatever for the Chicken of the Sea brand. It showed her getting a huge basket full of stuff, that may be the gift basket that another poster talked about. It's good humor.

I don't know how you can compare the two. Anna is the poster girl for white trash. She was high on something for most every episode. Jessica is truly a ditz...or is at least playing one on TV, but she has more class in her little toe than Anna could ever hope to have.

I watch the show just to stare at Nick Lachay for a half hour! Say what you like, this has given both their careers a huge boost!

She is spoiled and brags about it. Even so, she could grow up someday. I think Nick loves her, but sometimes I wonder if his patience will hold out. He seems to have such a good head on his shoulders. When they are no longer newlyweds I think her whining, sighing, moping and dragging butt will get old real fast for him.

I never came from a family with money or in the business industry, but I can tell you I was spoiled rotten. My mother did everything for me and when I went out on my own for the first time and had to learn everything at the age of 22 I am sure glad I didnt have a camera following me around catching all the mistakes and dumb things I said and did. As for calling someone a retard, I think that is rude and offensive, just because someone has a brain fart doesnt make them retarded I think she is just immature but she is trying. I also think its funny how cheap Nick can be, but actually that is what makes him so adorable, he is just like everyone else wants to do things his way. I would hire him in a minute to clean and organize my home.

I watched it once with my daughter, and both of us agreed it's not worth wasting time on again.

I saw that too, when Jessica said something like "she was a stay at home mom it was her job" about her mom cleaning her room, the audience groaned and Nick starting making digging motions with his hands as if to say "you're digging yourself a hole". It was funny. She's said similiar things on other interview shows like Larry King Live.

I have to agree with grinningghost on this. I watched the show once, and thought this girl has got to be one of the immature people that I have seen in quite some time. The passing of gas, burping and potty talk showed her mentality (or lack there of). I truely hope that kids do not enter the picture for a very long time!

Wow calling someone stupid and retarded because of blunders is alittle harsh don't cha think. Yes she is spoiled but so am I. I'm a spoiled married mother of 2 who love to be pampered. Do I feel bad NO I don't. Many of us had to learn from our blunderous mistakes, and in time she will also.

I do think the girl is on the naive side for sure but I also think MTV is editing the program to exaggerate it. I was watching the "Can you give me slack on the hose" episode earlier today and it sounded like they used the same "How do I do that" for both "Can you give me slack" and "Can you un-kink the hose" questions. It even sounded like they plugged it in with editing. I think that she isn't the smartest crayon in the box but I think MTV is making it worse as well.

I don't typically watch these type of shows, but I have watched a few. Maybe she is dumb, maybe she isn't. What if she is an airhead? She has certainly made a nice living for herself singing. I think they're adorable. If she had acted like "the perfect wife", whatever that's supposed to be, we wouldn't be watching or talking about them. Would we?

Not for nothing, but these are normal bodily functions. My 54 year old father does this. I don't think that makes him immature. These cameras followed their every move, and I'm sure after awhile it got hard to contain every bodily function. She seems like a normal person to me in that respect.

It's one thing to not like how ppl act or what they do but to call them hurtful names is a different story

So you have a point, but the difference here is, she decided to go on national TV with her stupidity - so she must know (then again, maybe not with her mentality) that she's fair game for criticism.
