Is Jersey Week Really Bad?

Was there last year during Jersey week. Epcot was busy, because of the end of Food and Wine, and the race. DHS and MK weren't bad at all. I didn't even know it was Jersey week until after my trip ended, and I read about it. lol

I'm pretty sure half of our trip was during Jersey Week this past November. I didn't find it to be that busy, but we did rope drop every day and only went to the parks once at night (Epcot for Illuminations). I also followed Josh's advice as far as which parks were best to visit. I found Epcot to be busier than a slow time, but not as bad as a holiday, and I think that was due to the Food and Wine Festival.

I have been during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and every month in the summer. I've also been during many traditional "slow periods." Just so you have an idea of what I'm comparing the week to.

I think you'll be fine. You will run into some days where crowds will be a bit larger, but it is still manageable.

If you are planning on going to F&W don't go on a weekend. Better to go during the week.

hi,
we will be at WDW from 10th-27th Nov, we chose those date to avoid F & W, marathon and Jersey week, as we thought this would be busier than the week leading up to Thanks Giving, have we made the wrong choice ? is it going to be busier the week leading up to Thanks Giving? should we change our dates to the first weeks of Nov or stay as we are? :confused3 maybe i should just change the booking to the first weeks of DEC instead as iv heard this is a really quiet time for crowds, it this right?

I disagree (respectfully). You will be fine until Nov. 6th when runners and families start coming in for the F&W half marathon on the 8th. It is also the weekend before a federal holiday (Nov. 11), which will draw more crowds of its own accord. My experience the past two years has been spring break level crowds Fri-Mon. of the F&W half.

Agree with this. Veteran's Day falls on a Tuesday, so I'd expect people to take longer trips/make a long weekend. Last year when Veteran's day fell on a Monday coinciding with Jersey Week, crowds were higher than expected.

I don't think crowd levels would be worth changing your dates over, however.

The worst part of jersey week is trying to get airfare from the area airports without losing a limb. Been going down there this time for 3 years crowds aren't too bad. Again been there in much busier times JD less busier times. Do think it might be a bit more crowded with Veterans Day being the Tuesday may have some more 4 day weekenders catching the last of F&W

A lot of school districts in NJ are not giving off the whole week. have only allocated the two days for the conferences.
