Is January or February less crowded?

Whoops, ignore-- I forgot I was in Resorts. I've reposted in Parks.

Hi-- I'm starting to tentatively plan our next trip, but I can't decide when to go. We usually go in the first week of December, but the last two years it's seemed to be more and more crowded. Can anyone tell me whether January or February crowds are any better? Thanks!

We have been many times in early December, but our last 2 trips were in January. Crowds seemed about the same as the last couple of Dec trips. But I don't think we will go in January again. Lots of construction with green plywood blocking off things. I realize they have to upgrade and build, but for me it does marr the beauty of the parks. Also after you have been there with the Christmas decorations it is a little more blah. Others may know more but I think timing is everything in January and February. Our first weekend there wasn't a hotel room to be had because of a big home improvement convention. They said they wouldn't be in the parks.....but they were.

I think February is more crowded. You have the presidents day holiday, Valentines Day and the Daytona race going on.

We just returned yesterday and the crowds were not bad at all, especially taking into account all of the Super Bowl "overflow"! Very enjoyable, but a bit chilly. We went to the pool every day, but did not spend as much time there as we would have in March.

I think I read somewhere that from January 2 to the middle of February is one of the least crowded times to go. It just depends when those midwinter breaks start. Our kids are out from February 12 through February 20 this year. Last year it was a week later.

Until this year, we almost always have gone the week after Thanksgiving and it has never been crowded, but I do think attendance for that week has picked up. I like that week better because you can attend MVMCP which is awesome!
