that I'm already thinking about a second trip to Disney when we haven't even gone on our first trip? I'm thinking about a cheaper trip and all the ways we could save money so that it would be doable. Staying at Fort Wilderness Campground and tent camping would save A LOT of money. How many of you have tent camped with young children at Disney?

We did not tent camp. we have a pop up camper. It is just a tent off the ground. Our daughter was 2 at the time. It was great. I would do it again, and again, and again, and again.........................

We tent camped with our boys from baby on. It is a little more work when they are little, but to go to FW you bet! Just don't sweat the little stuff and you'll be fine. Our boys are now 21 and 17 and still love FW.

I started taking my youngest to FW when he was 1 and I have seen many other families with playpens and strollers at their campsites.

That's what we had to start doing! We used to fly down with our 2, then 3 boys and stay in hotels, but now that they are older and we can't have 1 hotel room anymore, our only option is to drive down (from Minnesota) and camp in a tent. We really don't mind--I even like it better because it's OUR STUFF--like pillows, blankets,etc. I also like how it's WAY more private than a hotel--Our stuff stays untouched by anyone but us! We LOVE FW!!

My family always stayed in a tent at fort wilderness...there are five of us kids and we went several times and at all ages and never had a problem...except when out tent leaked!
