Is it worth it?

I was looking at booking a regular garden view room at Grand Floridian in December. Is it worth it to upgrade to the lagoon view? Can you see the electric water parade or magic kingdom?

To me we spend so little time in the room that the view is irrelevant. A water view will be noiser because of the boat horns.

I had a Lagoon view my last trip in February and after the first night I was over it. Seeing the water parade was nice, but it's noisy if you have LOs with an early bedtime. You're much better off watching the parade from shore one night a week and getting a nice quiet garden view! Now if you don't have kiddos and horns and nightly music don't bother you, then you may enjoy the view upgrade =)

I'd go with a regular GV because, IMO, there aren't any bad views at the GF. There might be some "less desirable" room views, but I don't think there are any horrible views. We aren't ones to pay for a view, so if it were me, I'd save the money and go with a GV.
