So, I am all about the best experience on our trip, however, I also want to make sure I am getting a good value. We will already be going to the parks the entire trip. I would like to go to MNSSHP, I just want to make sure it is worth the money it will cost my family to go? I mean, it seems silly to buy a whole "ticket" when we already have a ticket....

So, tell me, is it worth it? I can be easily convinced I'm sure. What makes it so great?

We already bought tickets for October 11th. This is our first time. I wanted to hear your "must do" list and any tips you may have.:yay:

My family did the Halloween party last October. The party is really fun, but with young children that are used to going to bed no later than 9:00 pm, it was not worth it considering that the party starts at 7:00 pm. My wife and I tried to keep the day of the party really laid back and relaxing to have our kids stay up, but even our son who was 7 at the time fell asleep by 10:00 pm. Most of our kids missed the 9:45 Halloween parade (and even my son who was awake, was not having alot of fun as he really wanted to go to bed). The funny thing is, my family actually enjoyed most of the Halloween theming a couple days later at MK when we went during the day. The only good thing about spending all of that money on the tickets was our chance to get pictures with Snow White and all of the seven dwarfs. Now if my kids were able to last until midnight or later, then I would say that the ticket price would have been worth it.

We went last year and had a great time. Like the PP we did a low key day on party day so we could stay up late. My DD5 did very well staying up and her main focus was ALL the candy! We probably packed out about 40lbs if candy! We had so much fun we are going back this year. The one thing I would say is that you don't HAVE to get caught up in the "dressing up" aspect if that's not your thing, plenty of people don't. We took a change of clothes four our daughter so that she wouldn't have to stay dressed up since we were going to be there for a while. Everyone that has been is obviously going to have an opinion, you just have to decide if you think it's something your family will enjoy!

I did it with my DD when she was 4 and it was fantastic! She loved trick or treating. We got a TON of candy, saw all kinds of characters in their Halloween costumes, and the rides had NO lines. It was a lot of fun.

With your girls being so young, you might not be able to take advantage of the short ride lines for the bigger rides like Splash Mountain and such unless you and your DH go on the ride alone. But, with the lines being so short, you wouldn't have to wait for the other too long. Even if the girls fell asleep in the stroller, you and your DH would have a fun time.

Yes.

Previously you have been able to get in the party around 4:00 pm with just your party ticket, so you do not have to wait until 7:00 pm.

The parade is awesome. Trick or Treating is fun. Being in Magic Kingdom in Halloween costumes is fun. Short lines for rides is fun. The dance parties are fun.

Sleep in and take it slow during the day, go in at 4:00 with your park ticket, grab a quick bite, hit some of the rides while lots of other people are either eating dinner or leaving for the day, then head over to ToonTown to see the characters.

We were booked to go 9/6-9/13 the same week we went in '09. They had a MNSSHP that week. This week when the dates were released and there was no party that week, I moved the whole vacation till later in September!! I had to move ADR's and everything! It was such a great time and for us well worth the money.
