Is it worth it? 1Br vs Studio for 2 adults

Several times I've booked a one-bedroom for a trip where it would be just the two of us. I've never been able to follow through on it, though. I've always called and changed them to studios after having the time to re-think.

We're perfrectly happy in studios. And while I know the full kitchen, laundry, and jacuzzi would be wonderful additions, I'm just not willing to spend the points for them. I'd rather save those points to get a two-bedroom and invite friends/family to join us on a future trip.

I know this may vary by person so really there's nothing scientific about it... We're off to WDW for 10 nights in Sept... 2 adults only so I booked studios for the stay. We're at BLT for 5 nights... I originally had a standard room but I changed it to a lake view at my husband's request. We were very lucky to get a boardwalk view studio at BWV for the last 5 days after being on a waitlist for only a couple of days....

Now I am contemplating wait listing for a 1BR, 4 of the 5 nights are (or were) available the last time I checked so there's no guarantee we'll get the waitlist....

We usually are 2 people and we do studios and one bedrooms and even have done a two bedroom when we couldn't get a smaller villa.

If I could have a one bedroom every trip, that would be what I would do. But we are always points poor so we book studios most of the time.

I love the one bedroom for the space and enjoy having two tv's not for me to watch tv but so I can be in a room without tv on if necessary. The big tub never gets used, but the kitchen gets used often because it is fairly easy to do cooked breakfast without dragging stuff from home.

Also dinner of salad, steak and baked potato can be pretty easy. I had no intentions to really cook, but you can get a lot of easy to prepare things that will save money and time and it's still fun because you are not at home and in a villa at Disney!

I've booked us a one bedroom for xmas/new years and now only have a few points left so want to go in June or July in a studio. We also are booked for 6 nights in November for food and wine in a studio. The premium annual pass is burning a hole in my pocket!

Some say if you stay in a one bedroom you will not want to stay in a studio. I don't have that issue. I've bounced back and forth since 1997.

When we go (just the two of us) we always book a 1 bedroom. We use the kitchen enough to make it worth it when considering the extra point usage.
