Is it wise to rent a cabana while at Discovery Cove?

I'm very fair skinned and don't take to the sun well..plus I realized I'm going to have *ahem* my monthly visitor during our stay and don't want to have to keep running back and forth to the lockers to fetch my stuff. Apparently the earlier you get there, the further you have to walk to your locker. Will my things be safe in the cabana? I know anybody could just walk in there and take something out, so I'm a little hesitant. Also, how much do the cabanas cost? Is it worth it to rent one or do you spend little time in it since you're out and about all day?
