Is it usually warm enough to swim in early-mid April?

Pools are heated to 80ish all year round. Therefore if you're swimming when it's 50 degrees it will feel amazing. If it's 90 they will feel cold.

When we have gone in March and April it's usually been too hot to do anything BUT swim in the afternoons!

Yes! I've swam in January/February and I was fine lol so April is a definite yes!

We swam pretty much every day in December. If someone in your party gets cold easily (especially kids), robes can be a lifesaver from the cold air after the pool. I think it was the only way DS3 made it back to the room when the breeze was chilly.
