Is it true?

I was reading up on Disneyland. We have been to WDW twice but never to DL. Both times we brought in our double stroller along with a soft sided cooler full of water and gatorade. I was reading that DL does not allow any outside food or drinks. Is this true?

Make sure none of your containers are glass. They don't allow any glass containers in the parks.

Have been bringing food and drink into the park for many many years and have never had a problem...as said earlier, leave the glass at home.;)
Just did so this past October with no issues.

They will usually "look the other way" if you want to bring in a small-ish soft-sided cooler with outside food and drink, but will not allow large hard-sided rolling-type coolers (not that you want to lug something like that around all day). If you are discreet about it, you should have no trouble at all.

Yay! Thank you so much. I really don't want to pay crazy inflated drink prices! I want to save my money for the yummy treats!

Technically, you're not allowed, but people do it all the time. The security people will see it in your bags, but don't say anything.

You cannot bring in the makings of a meal, but you can bring in food. Ex: They may stop you from bringing in lettuce, tomatoes, a container of mayonnaise, a bottle of mustard, a salami, and a block of cheese. However, they will not stop you from bringing in a salami and cheese sandwich with mustard, mayo, and lettuce on it.

We bring bottled water and snacks at the time. Never a problem.

Hope this helps,
Dreams

Sounds like your question was answered already here. To add, the rules and enforcement of rules at DLR are pretty much the same as WDW in regard to bringing food and drinks into the parks. :)
