Heard from someone that DH works with that they announced the 15 story Contemporary DVC today. Should be open by Christmas next year. Is it true?

I don't think so. That info probably came from an Orlando Sentinel story about a possible DVC at the Contemporary today.

The Sentinel apparently scooped everyone and printed information which was published here on the DIS -- complete with architectural drawings, copies of public records filings, etc -- what, a YEAR ago?

I just read the newspaper article. We had heard this last year when we were there and are actually hoping that it is true.

We had a CM basically tell us that on the monorail at Thanksgiving. "Pay no attention to those 2 big cranes, nothing DVC is going on."

The Orlando Sentinel forced an announcement out of Walt Disney in the 60s about the Florida project, and the Honolulu paper announced a day before the big Disney announcement for Hawaii DVC.

I was really hoping that the Orlando Sentinel article would be a pre-cursor to the big announcement. Oh Well.

It was foggy last week, but I could swear I saw an unfinished 7 story C-shaped building going up next to the Contemporary. I guess you can imagine all kinds of things when its foggy outside.

Maybe soon.
