....anyhoo, my DH and I went to Lowe's yesterday to look at pre-finished wood flooring (like Pergo)....today, my two older DS's ripped out our old bedroom carpeting and installed it in less than 4 hours! Here are some pix with our new bed:



....I know, I know - I have to get a new bedskirt...whaddaya think?

Me too, I know they are not far from the epicenter. Not that I wanted to have another Earthquake, but I was in Amsterdam on the last one, so I REALLY did not feel anything then.... AT least nothing broke here, unlike last time.

Thank you for your response. I can rent a 1BR which sleeps 5 for the same as two studios. I don't care about the kitchen because I don't cook on vacation. The laundry would be nice, but not necessary. My main reason for wanting a regular room instead of DVC is so that I can request a 3rd or 4th floor Zebra trail Arusha view room. I don't quite understand where the DVC villas are located within Jambo House. Most everything I've looked at says they are on the 5th and 6th floor, but I've read some reports here on the DIS who have stayed AKL Jambo DVC on other floors - usually the 4th.

I wasn't sure if there was much of a price difference.

I'll be checking into a savannah view room Friday at Kidani (i've always stayed at Jambo before), I'll let you know what I think about where we end up being located. I put in a request to be near an elevator and the buses.
