We have gone from "Why would I want to spend 4 days in a tin can" via "Let's book another cruise as you enjoyed this one so much" and "When can we cruise again" to "7 nights is really not long enough". It took me 10 years to get him to agree to a cruise, but since we did our first one in 2008, we have done 9 cruises with one further booked and three further planned.

Yes, they do. Last year they postponed the sail away party on the Wonder until the second day as its normal slot would have clashed with the Super Bowl, which was shown on the huge screen by the family pool.

They also postponed the safety drill last year, but I very much doubt they will do that this year.

Morning everyone.... Hope you are feeling well and blessed. I know that I am.... Today has got to be one of the best I have had in a month.

I saw this and wanted to share with everyone...

Less than 5% of all hotels in the United States receive AAA's Four Diamond award, but Disney and Disney Vacation Club resorts are well represented on the 2012 list.

At the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa was again given the Four Diamond designation, a distinction it has received dating back to 2001. Just up the road, the Disneyland Hotel joins the Four Diamond club just as its three year refurbishment project concludes.

Walt Disney World saw three resorts added to the Four Diamond list including both Jambo House and Kidani Village at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Also added to the list for 2012 is the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort.

Returning honorees are highlighted by Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which has earned the Four Diamond designation dating back to 1989. Others include Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort and the Walt Disney World Swan Resort.

AAA conducts extensive evaluations of lodging accommodations before assigning a rating of One to Five Diamonds. Four Diamond award winners are described as being "upscale in all areas." In order to earn the Four Diamond designation, resorts must demonstrate "an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail."

I'm not sure how I missed Wicked coming to the Kennedy Center or I would have definitely gone. I'm in Severn. I was reading one of your TRs and saw where you are and was immediately going to PM you and say how close we are, but I didn't want to seem like a stalker

We are wanting to stay at AKL Jambo House next fall. There are 5 of us (2 adults and 3 teens). Other than the over-our-budget 1 bedroom CL suite, are there any other options for 5 that aren't DVC? If we do the villas, we will rent points for a 1 bedroom. Where are the 1 bedrooms located in Jambo house specifically (which trail, floors, view)? I was really hoping for a 3rd or
4th floor Zebra trail Arusha view room. Are there any maps that show room locations/numbers of the villas?

....anyhoo, my DH and I went to Lowe's yesterday to look at pre-finished wood flooring (like Pergo)....today, my two older DS's ripped out our old bedroom carpeting and installed it in less than 4 hours! Here are some pix with our new bed:

Thank you for your response. I can rent a 1BR which sleeps 5 for the same as two studios. I don't care about the kitchen because I don't cook on vacation. The laundry would be nice, but not necessary. My main reason for wanting a regular room instead of DVC is so that I can request a 3rd or 4th floor Zebra trail Arusha view room. I don't quite understand where the DVC villas are located within Jambo House. Most everything I've looked at says they are on the 5th and 6th floor, but I've read some reports here on the DIS who have stayed AKL Jambo DVC on other floors - usually the 4th.

The new floor and bed look nice, but I can't help but think the focus on this means that the cruise didn't go over so good based on the other comments you've made....

All the DVC rooms are on floors 4 and 5. The villas are located throughout the floors on all the different trails. When you rent the points have the person you rent them through put in a special request for that view. The villas at AKV are really nice, it's become my favorite DVC resort.
