Yes, my friend you can use them.... I have the menu here, if you want a picture of it.

Thanks! I don't need the menu so much, I downloaded it for Arline. However she is a first timer and hasn't experienced a wide variety of cuisines in her life. Fran and I are making her more adventurous, so I'm hoping that we can get her DIS login issues sorted out, get her online and I can find pictures from all the places we'll be eating and post them on the PTR so she can get an idea of the variety and fun she will be experiencing. We're going for three nights to Disneyland in Feb so she gets an idea of some of the rides that are in both parks.

On another note, we just checked into the Grand Californian for our overnighter, and will be heading to dinner in a couple hours. We're in a studio. This is the only DVC property we ever stay in studios (so close to home, it seems just splurging owning/staying here!) and for the first time in a year and a half we got our first studio where my side of the bed has the nightstand. This means that her side of the bed is crammed against the wall. No way with her mobility issues that she can get in and out of bed so we have to switch sides. Last time in a studio we were lamenting how small the bed is, no jacuzzi tub, no dishwasher, only one bathroom yadda, yadda, yadda.

What was the first thing she said tonight upon seeing the room? "We have a surplus of points right? Don't ever get us anything less than a one bedroom EVER AGAIN!" :rotfl2: Music to my ears! I've been wanting to stay in one bedrooms all along, but I got the whole, "It's too many points", "It's only 25 minutes from home, we could drive back."   I guess I won't worry about what to do with all those points that we won't bought in WDW, I'll be waitlisting at the 7 month mark for one bedrooms when we have a whim to come stay here! :lmao:

So glad you both made it to the resort, and hope you have an amazing dinner tonight and enjoy yourselves..

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

I's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our small city. This weekend is the 20th annual Holiday Open house and it marks the 20th anniversary of my first day on the job! I taught in public schools for 10 years before "retiring" to follow Bob as he made the corporate climb. When we moved back here I wanted to go back to work and found this dream job. The 10 years in public schools seems like an eternity, but the 20 years at my school feels like it was just yesterday! We will have about 125 of our students playing solos and duets outside our studio and this year all the staff is also going to play! It is a very festive time (even though we continue to celebrate fall still... no Christmas decorations up at our school yet!). I look forward to this looooong weekend every year! :goodvibes

We are headed to our first ever stay at AKL but the flight has been delayed a couple hours due to some maintenance issue. BAH. This is only a five day trip for our anniversary and I don't want to spend it all in Newark! Hoping for some pixie dust soon. We have a reservation at Boma's for 6:00 and I want some time to unpack and relax before dinner.

well that sucks.... hope it gets fixed soon and that you are able to get there, relax and enjoy your time at AKL....

Here is some pixiedust:

Thanks, Brandi:hug:

I am home sick w/stomach bug:sick: Scott is ok..Had to go FT @ HD, still can't find anything else:confused3 At least his health insurance will be less expensive...His daugher isn't going to be allowed to graduate basic training:sad1: She failed all her swimming training....Everything else was fine, but she just can't swim..They are processing her release now and said she'll be home in 10-20 business days....She can re-enlist in 6-12 months if she wants, but she thinks she'll do what her heart told her to do in the first place-join the Army, not the Navy.
Dad is good.
Beauty is good, too, today is her 1st birthday:love:

 So sorry to hear that you have the stomache bug. And that is too bad about Scott's daughter. My brother almost didn't pass basic training due to his marksmanship.

:bday: Happy Birthday to Beauty!

I hope you take lots of pics. DH wants to stay here if we ever get to the west coast. He has plans of us going to DL in a few years but I am not sure I am up to the plane ride.

Yes, we could and some great company like all the J's &K's.... We could just take over Jambo House...

I wonder if we could ever get all the J's & K's there at one time??!!! :woohoo: Wouldn't that be awesome! :cloud9:

How about the majority of J's & K's?!! (maybe slightly more realistic! ;))

Our next shot - although not at AKL!! (Swolphin!) will be Oct 12-14, 2012!!! :rolleyes1

I so hope you got out of Newark without too long a wait, that is such a pain.

So glad you both made it to the resort, and hope you have an amazing dinner tonight and enjoy yourselves..

Thanks! We did OK, but now we're back, working on the food porn on my PTR. Talk about a tiring day! :faint: The bad part is after dinner, my phone decided that it was having too much fun in DL and wanted to stay. We checked Lost & Found before we came home, but it hadn't turned up. :headache:

Congratulations! That's quite an achievement and that the time has flown by means that you have really enjoyed it too! :goodvibes I would say my 11 years at Alfred Publishing were like your 10 years in public school! :rotfl:

I hope you've gotten out of Newark and right now you are being led to your table at Boma!

I have so many pictures, we stay there a lot, the valets at the GCH know us and recognize our car. It doesn't hurt that we tip well too!
