Is it true fop

I have some balance issues sometimes too, tink, so I move slowly to make sure I don't have a mishap. Hopefully we will both be just fine with this ride.

The cast members are there to help you and make sure as many people get to ride as possible, no kick people off for being too slow. I've seen them work with guests many times to help them get positioned correctly.

To be fair to OP, and I would have to dig ... I'm pretty sure there were reports early on of guests who were having trouble fitting that were told by CMs something to effect the load had timed out and they wouldn't be able to ride since they couldn't lock the seat. I have not heard it recently.

I was going to say it but didn't want to add to Tinks stress that as a former attractions CM I know each ride actually does have a max load/unload time. Most people only experience this though if they need to transfer. I know for a fact at Rockin Roller there is a transfer practice room and they tell you how fast you have to do it in. The only people that should worry there are people transferring in and out of a wheelchair. This is only for roller coasters though were the delay causes a back up since cars are already launched onto the track in sequence. Almost all other rides the max load/unload can be pushed with out causing an e-stop.

I do wish more roller coasters at WDW were designed like DL. At DL most of the coasters have a pull off platform where those who need to transfer can do so with out being rushed. That way the ride keeps running smoothly and no e-stops are triggered and the person needing to get in and out of a wheelchair isn't rushed. I don't think any WDW roller coasters use that set up.

I think they made that up to ease the feelings of those that didn't fit due to size. Blame it on the ride, not the guest. And they've tweaked some things so that more fit so this is not as much an issue now as it was. Just my guess

Oh, I agree they very well probably made it up. But it's out there as said, folks are reading it and if you are worried you will focus on all the negatives that came that first month.

I hear you .... but some posters sound like she's making this up .... and I know it was said ... it's out there and while she may be getting too worried about her trip, at least she's being proactive in trying to know what to expect before getting there.

I was silly to start this thread dh and I have balence issues but we are going to try anyway what happens happens let's close this thread please

Yeah I remember seeing that too. I noticed some clocks here and there (maybe it was RnRC?) and I think they try very hard to get people in and out of the vehicles very quickly. For FoP with it being one of many rooms maybe it's less of a concern after a little while.

I don't think you're silly at all for asking a question. I just heard a report recently on the radio that people begin to see their balance deteriorate after 45. I don't know your age but I see it in my mother, especially in icy weather. Balance is one of those things us younger people take for granted! I know I can easily get faint and light headed by standing up too fast.

The ride boarding process is basically like getting on a raised motorcycle or bicycle. I don't think it was too far off the ground, but you will need to kind of swing your leg up and around. If you have more questions, you could try to find the Pandora thread. It's long but full of very helpful folks.

No. There was a lot of time between when we went to our ride vehicle to sit on it and when the restraints were activated. At least two minutes, probably. The CM will be in the room when the restraints lock, and they are keeping an eye on things, but they are not rushing people or throwing them out.

I've ridden FOP a few times now and we had plenty of time to get seated and for the restraints to lock in place. No one is trying to rush you on the ride. We've also experienced different variations of the preshow, since sometimes it takes people longer to load. They will accomade you if you have trouble at first, don't worry about it.
