Go from Magic Kingdom from say 8-11 am, then go to a water park, then go back to magic kingdom? Or would it be easier to just go water park then mk and stay there without having to break up the day?

::MickeyMo I think it would be easier to go to the waterpark first and then spend the rest of the day in MK. We went BB last year right when it opened. We got a lounge and did every single thing in the water park in about 2 and a half hours. Not too shabby! It really left a lot of time to do something else. ::MinnieMo

The thing you gotta take into account is travel time. Back and forth to waterpark and then back and forth to MK. Alot times it takes longer than you think it will!

I agree it'd probably be better to do the water park in the morning and then head back to your hotel and then over to MK for the rest of the day, that you at least cut out one trip back and forth to MK. That's only four bus rides instead of six if you were planning on going back to the hotel after that waterpark that is.

not too hectic at all

spend the morning at mk....leave at 11:30 and go to hotel for a change and lunch

be at water park by 1:30

stay at water park untill 4:00

go to hotel for change and dinner

be back at the park by 6:30

very very doable

When i was single and traveling alone I used to do this during the summer. I would go to a park and then hit the waterparks. spend sometime there shower there and change clothes. then hit another park in the evening. Its a lot harder to do this with little kids now.

Absolutely - That's the way we usually do the water parks. We have stayed longer occasionally, but usually, it's an afternoon break thing for us.

We liked this plan best of all when our children were in elementary school.

Loved getting to the park right when it opened and ride the "biggies".

Snacked in the park, drove our own car with a pic nic lunch in the ice chest to BB or TL around 12 or 1 pm when the parks become hot, crowded and unbearable.

Stayed there till around 5 or 6, the water parks empty out nicely and we always had plenty of chances to ride the water slides.

Showered at the hotel and hit EPCOT for dinner and watched Illuminations or some similar plan for the evening.
Did this for :3dglasses 4 years running.
This was a couple of years ago, hope the plan still works, we're going in June.

Hi

I think it will depend on how many of you and what the ages are. Have to take into account travel time and showering. Plus when are you going? How late will MK be open? One thing I notice when I am there is that there are not enough hours in the day to see and do everything I want to do.

Have a magical Disney Day!! :earsboy:

im thinking in the summer after spending 5 hrs at Typhoon Lagoon we may be wiped
so im just planning a trip over to checkout AKL then back to WL for the night

that is exactly how my family and i tour the parks. Get up early and go hard for a few hours and then hope somewhere else in hte afternoon...and then hope somewhere else in the evening...with plenty of down time...i agree that water park may wear you out, so going to a park first makes plenty of sense.

That sounds great. Where did you eat your picnic lunch?

I guess I should have mentioned we are two adults so we have the energy (I think!)..but we won't have a car and are staying at CBR... so now Im thinking waiting for buses and the time to go from MK back to hotel ... maybe it's too much time wasted traveling?
