Is it too early to start thinking about July 2009!!!!!!

We got back about 4 weeks ago and are planning on going april 2009:thumbsup2 Wish we could afford to go april 2008 :sad2: Won't be long until the 2009 brochures are out :lmao:

Well all the talk about planning has made me think long and hard about our next trip over the last few days. We have now decided sept 2009 is the time for us, only trouble now is deciding on akl or poly (swaying slightly towards the poly), it's the first time we will have stayed actually in disney and can't wait. :yay:

Messing about with some figures last night and was surprised to find how expensive Universal is. Adding on 4 nights at Royal Pacific and 10 nights at POR came in £300 more than 14 nights at POR. May think about staying at Disney for the two weeks and travelling over to Universal, if you can pay for front of line passes then that is something else to look at. Might think about 2 Disney hotels, the Poly is grabbing me at the moment.

In 2005 we stayed at RPR rather than buy FOTL because it was cheaper to spend one night there with 4 of us in a room than to buy each of us the passes for 2 days. I don't know if that is still the case.

It was a really good experience staying at the hotel. I really enjoyed taking the water taxi to the parks and not having to drive back in the evening.

Yes, the Universal hotels are lovely. :thumbsup2 We stayed in Portofino Bay a few years ago and I'd love to try HRH. This year I was able to get FOTL passes for $25.99 per person and that was unbeatable for what we wanted... :woohoo:

Im gonna be going out of my way on the next trip to make sure my DF :bride: (is that right for fiancee? im new so gimme a break if not!) has the best time ever so that I can wangle going back again next year on our Honeymoon!

Since coming back from my 1st time I can say it is never too soon to plan Disney trips

I always think that too, really puts me off. My kids would love to stay at the Nick hotel and I think thats too much as well. I suppose after this year it will be 2009 before I go back, can't see it in the budget for next year. To anyone swaying towards the Poly, you should definately do it. It is beautiful, paradise on the monorail, can't recommend it highly enough, if your budget stretches then its a must:goodvibes
