DH thinks it is. When I told him we should start packing some stuff he rolled his eyes at me. We leave April 25 and I'm starting to stress big time! I think if I start packing shorts and tshirts it should be ok because I doubt the kids will be wearing them prior to May. What do you guys think?:confused3

For me,It is a bit to early. But hey everybody is different.

You know just incase your kids or you feel like wearing one of those shirts or skirts or whatever.

I hope you guys have a magical time!:):wizard:

I leave on the 22nd, and I'll probably start packing this week. We'll be camping, so I've technically started packing already. The camper is ready to, and I've started stocking up on food.

I've never packed for anything more than a day or so in advance, so I have to agree with your Dh, it's too early!

Maybe instead of actually putting things into suitcases, you could just start a checklist of things you mean to take. That's something I do and find it helps make packing go much more quickly.

We leave the 6th and just this past week I started putting aside things like the fanny packs, water bottle straps, and other things we use in the parks. I have also put aside things like sunscreen and goggles. I am going to start doing toiletries tomorrow. We have a spare bedroom and I use that so the stuff isn't in the way.

I find that by doing a little bit each day it isn't so overwhelming right before the trip - also the anticipation is fun.

Let him roll his eyes. Is he going to manage the packing? If not, do it your way. I teeter on that kind of obsessiveness myself so I understand where you are coming from.

Don't sweat it. I don't leave until June 1st and I already have some things in a suitcase. My DH thinks I am nuts as well. But I just point out that he married me and that usually ends the conversation. :goodvibes

I do the checklist too! DH laughs at that. Have since I travelled on business and it was just myself. Now it's 4 of us. I usually pack the day before, but will start about a week earlier checking the all my travel 3 oz. bottles to rebuy or refill. Can't stand having suitcases out for more than a day!

Now that we are DVC members I have to add small packs of coffee and filters to the list, though since we stay in 2br units I can take less clothes and do a load or 2 of laundry while there.

I say if you have enough clothes to pack some away and not use them(no thte case in our family) go for it and pack early. But keep a list of what else you need and what you already have ready so that you can make sure you have enough clothing for your trip. :)

I always get the itch to pack early.

We are leaving tomorrow and I haven't even started yet! I am just a last minute sort of person. Good luck!

We leave in 4 weeks from today, and I have bought new clothes for the kids and I. Me a splurge, need for the kids as they out grew or really made a mess out of last years clothes. I have them set aside in the extra bedroom and want to get started on packing, but have not got there yet. I did go out and by toiletries and such for the trip. Currently I am giving the washer and dryer a work out cleaning out my closet and washing the summer clothes that I kept (did major closet overhaul).

We're leaving in 12 days and I'm going to start packing tonight. I live about an hour from Philly, and I don't think I'll be wearing any "warm weather" clothes before then. I am going to start by getting all those packed up and go from there. I don't think it's too early for you to do the same.

Yeah, us northern states won't be in shorts until May or June! lol

So true. I usually do all the packing for the 4 of us. Well, at least myself and the kids. My dh usually throws in his shaving stuff, underwear, and socks and that's as far as it goes.

Well...I leave in 65 days & I started packing about 3 weeks ago! Of course, it's mainly the t-shirts that I've made, Disney p.j.'s that I bought, and toys for DD7. (light-up spin toy, glow necklaces, Disney toys bought on sale, etc.) Of course, I also have our toiletries packed for our carry-on, following the new 3 oz. bottle rule.

So, to answer your question, it's never too early to start packing!

Funny you should mention this because I am going at the same time and I was hoping to start packing tomorrow. I do have 4 kids though and I have to do it super early and get organized. Besides, packing and getting ready to go is half the fun right! My DH doesn't get it either, but it's so exciting! Pack away and I'll be doing the same thing!

We leave April 17 and my 5yo is almost completely packed. As I bought her outfits they went right into the suitcase. (It keeps her from trying to wear them lol)

DH thinks I am nuts. He would wait until April 16 if I let him.

We leave May 1st and I want to start packing now! I already have the toiletry's, sunblock and entertainment for the kids in our carry-on. We are surprising the kids though so I needed a good place to hide everything. The carry-on works great! :goodvibes
