Hi

I have just thought that after the 29th November I will be working nights upto the 5th December. 6th I will be packing for our holiday. 7th December we are leaving for Florida for two weeks :dance3:

I basically wont have time to pack, take the dog to the kennels, sort out the house, school runs, etc as well as put up the christmas tree and decs.

I am also working 22nd November-26th November nights too. I wont be able to put the tree up that weekend either :sad2:

I have these dates 17th November, 20th November, 21st November or perhaps the 28th November. Only reason I say perhaps is because, I am on the night on the 27th and the 28th I would not have had any sleep from the night shift until Bruce gets in at 6:00pm. I need Bruce to help put the tree up etc... I dont think I will have any engergy to put it up when he comes in.

Does the other dates seem to early?? My dh is concerned. I certainly wont have time to put up the tree on the 23rd December. I will be out getting the final christmas foods, presents etc....

Decisons. What do you think?

I say go for it Michelle, I have seen a couple of sets of lights round here already, the shops are geared up, the town lights are on, you are leaving early so you might as well enjoy it now and like you said you are going to be extremely busy. The only thing to put up with is the kids constantly asking if it is xmas yet:rotfl:
As I am leaving on the 12th and I want to enjoy it, I'm actually putting ours up on the 1st December, normally I am a week before type of person, but i think this disney trip has filled me with early xmas spirit;)

If you want it up, put it up :)

For me, it's too early. Ours won't be going up until the week end I finish work (15th December) :)

Do what's easiest and less stressful for you, Michelle. Things sound pretty hectic for you at the moment so the sooner it's up, the sooner it's one less thing to think about. :thumbsup2

My tree arrives the week after next so it'll be up before December 1st that's for sure... :santa:

Well I know I'm the worse person to ask :rotfl2: but I would put it up whenever you're ready and when you've got plenty of time. I'm putting mine up next weekend, and it never bothers me that it's up early :santa:

There is already someone in the next street to me who has their tree and decs up

When you put it up, don't forget to take some photos to add to our Christmas Tree thread (that I will probably start next week or when the first person has put theirs up)

go for it Michelle, you are going to be so busy grab the chance while you can

I have started to wear my christmas earrings so it is definately not too early.

Hope you have a great holiday

Can't wait to see your tree!

I might get DH to put it up this weekend just in case baby is a few days early - I want her to come home to a Christmassy house with lots of lights and tinsel!!!
