Is it time to lower your offer?

From the posts on the board, seems like a lot of contracts are passing ROFR.

With the price increase, I was worried our contract wouldn't pass at $65 but it did....thankfully.

I wonder if we were just very lucky or if Disney has lowered their base price?

Maybe combined with the new deposit policy on the DVC I units plus the guides having to check every day, DVC has lowered their base price due to not wanting to engage in the DVC I ROFR and then sell the points "again" process

thanks

what is the new deposit policy on the DVC I units????

It's also difficult to say because we don't have a thorough knowledge of all the deals. Were contracts stripped? Who was paying closing costs? Other things that might affect the price per point. But it is conceivable that Disney has lowered it's ROFR price. Maybe sales at SSR are brisk enough that they feel they don't need to invest in propping up the resale pricing market quite so much.

If I was buying a resale right now, I would have to agree with the OP. I'd bid low and see what happens. Probably only at one of the resorts that have a lot of resales available.

I agree with HBC. I would try a lowball offer and see what happens.

With regard to the number of contracts passing through ROFR, it may simply be a matter of a more informed audience. Anyone browsing this board has access to a plethora of advice on the sort of offer needed to pass ROFR. So anyone inclined to report their results here may already know (with as high a degree of certainty as possible) the amount to offer in order to get the contract.
