Is it silly for Adults to do Character Meals?

Me and my husband just booked our next Disney trip for May. We've been there before but decided to take my parents along with us. I'm 27 and my husband is 26, my mom and dad are in their late 40's.

I wanted to do some character meals, but wasn't sure if it was just for family with kids. Do the characters interact with adults as well or do they just pass by the tables? I'm not sure if adults do these things lol.

Here are the meals I'd like to try:

1900 Park Fare (I love Alice and the Mad Hatter)
Garden Grill with Chip and Dale (I love them as well).

Just wondering if anyone has done a character meal without kids? Thanks!!

I goto character meals, sure why not because when we walk in DW we are all a little bit of kid :)

I love the character meals and I am 44! Mad Hatter and Alice were hysterical this past trip! We made 'Merry un-Birthday' Buttons and Alice was perfectly in character when she realized that that day was her un-birthday as well! It was a blast.

We are all kids at Disney ... have fun!

DH and I are both in our 40's and we usually pick one character meal (LTT - we'll have to find another one next time:sad1: ).

The characters will definitely interact with adults and take pictures and all that! It's fun!

Gosh I hope not! DH and I are going to the OHana character breakfast next week. We thought it would be fun:) Glad to hear we won't be the only kids at heart.

The characters interact just as much with the adults as they do with the kids. I love joking around with them and I ain't no kid. Yes go to the character's meals and have fun!

we did it!! My dh & I went with his parents a in 2006. We didn't have kids with us and we ate at Character lunches & dinners! It was a lot of fun!

We are all kids at heart

My best friend and I always do at least one character meal. The first one I booked we were a bit nervous that we may be the only ones and not a chance! There were several adult only parties. Have fun and enjoy your time.

If it is, DH and I must be the silliest fools around! We love character meals!

We love character meals and play right along with it. It's that what Disney is all about . Bringing the lil kid out in everybody .:cool1:

I've often seen more parties of adults than kids in character meals. Sometimes the adults are more boisterous too! The characters spend just as much time with adults only tables as those with kids. My husband I love character meals. Even my parents and adult brother have been to a few and enjoyed themselves. If you want to go...then by all means, enjoy it! :goodvibes

Well I certainly hope not since I love character meals! My best friend and I go every year (I love that she's Disney obsessed too!) and we always do at least a few character meals! Not only am I a kid at heart (I like to think of myself as a female peter pan - I will never grow up!), but I also don't have kids of my own and I love to see that special moment when they see the character of their dreams! Soooooo sweet!

Besides, you're on vacation, who cares what other people think of you?! You don't know them and they don't know you! You'll likely never see them again and as long as you're having fun - that's all that matters! :)

Yay!!! I'm excited then! Thanks for your input everyone. I wasn't sure if the characters would interact with adults without kids but now I'm excited! :thumbsup2

We don't have kids and always do a few character meals (Dh = 31, I = 29). I love to see the characters interacting with everyone and I especially love seeing all the kids get so excited when the characters walk through. It's so cute!

:cool1: :hippie: Goin next week ME55 and DW54, never been to the Crystal Palace before so decided to try it and we have never been to a Character meal since the kids were little.

SILLY QUESTION,I THOUGHT WE WERE ALL KIDS AT WDW,JUST THAT SOME KIDS R 3FT AND SOME R 6 FT:rotfl2: GO AND HAVE A GREAT TIME,I WAS JUST THERE LAST WEEK AND THERE WAS AN ADULT WEDDING PARTY THERE AT THE CRYSTAL PALACE FROM ENGLAND FOR BREAKFAST AND I THINK THEY MAY HAVE BEEN ONE CHILD WITH THE GROUP,SO THAT TELLS YOU AND THE CHARACTERS CAME BY THE TABLE BESIDE ME WHICH WERE A GROUP OF 4 MEN AND THEY TOOK PICS AND ALL.

DW and I are in our 50's and our daughter and her boyfriend (in their mid-20's) plan on going to a character breakfast. Since we'll be celebrating DD's 27th birthday at character breakfast we'll let her decide... but I'm pretty sure it'll be Crystal Palace since Pooh and Friends are her absolute favorite .... to this date!! :pooh:

Not silly at all. I don't see how anyone can go to Disney and not act like a kid..... ;)

My DH and I do character meals. We are 32 and 33 with no children. We've found the characters to interact with us just fine. On our upcoming trip we'll have character meals at Crystal Palace (I love Piglet), 1900 Park Fare (I want to see the Mad Hatter), Liberty Tree Tavern (have to do this before it's gone) and CRT (to get pictures with the Princesses). I think it's well worth it even if you don't have children. It's lots of fun. If you are a kid at heart...go for it!
