If you do get time to watch the films before you go, try to. I had never seen them until this year. They never really interested me in the slightest but I wanted to watch them before going to the WWOHP. I do think it made a difference and made it more special. Not that I think it won't be special if you don't watch them, just that it enhanced the experience for me. :)

I have been doing some temping whilst waiting for my new job to start (build up some extra pennies!)

I got home today to find my husband and the children have created their own WDW boardgame!! All hand drawn with a separate bit of paper for each park - but they all link together. And there are cards for every attraction & main restaurants - no idea what the object of the game is and how to play - suppose i will find out when they are finished!!

I will take a picture when it is complete and post! They are still busy colouring in and drawing in the dining room - whilst I continue to ebay various bits to boost our spending money!!

I have to salute you Zippy! You're not one to sit around complaining, are you?!

A picture would be great. How nice that the children are doing something together with their dad!

Zippy I am doing the same.Cannot believe I got £75 for DD "up" figures.Apparently collecters items. Just paid another £100 into DD piggybank account.:cool1::banana:

Do you all change the kids money to Disney dollars in the parks? Have never done this as DD has been a bit young but now she is 8 she takes her purse out with her money in.Not that it comes out that much.:lmao:She thinks its my job to pay for everything apart from things she wants to buy. Bless:wizard:

Thanks 2Tiggies, sadly I found out my new job will now not start till 1st October (a month later!!) so I had to find something to do otherwise we will have no spending money!! After finding out yesterday morning I got onto some agencies and got asked could I start today at 8.30am!! Yes of course I replied - not the greatest money but it beats £65 a week job seekers allowance!.

As promised too - here are some pictures of the game - apparently you have task cards and you have to complete the tasks to get Joy points - but have to do it within a time limit - so you may land on an attraction and lose time whilst you queue or eat!! Very complicated but the kids and hubby are having fun!

That is incredible! Did they spend the whole day on that? I forgot your schools are still on holiday.

Where did you get the Mickey dice? I think we need some of those. :)

wow that is really good what talented creative family you have

The dice have been used from our Disney Monopoly set we bought last trip. That's another game I avoid - Monopoly is bad enough for a family argument in it's normal version - sadly even the Disney magic does not prevent someone storming out the room in tears!!!!
