Is it safe to buy park tickets online from a non disney source?

My sil found "cheap" park tickets online, $83 for a one day ticket. That seems to not be cheaper at all right? I think that she should just get them from Disney because I have never heard of anyone getting "cheap" tix from another source. Am I giving the right advice here? Thanks.

A one day ticket direct from Disney only costs $79.00+tax. I would steer clear of these "discount" ticket sellers.

One Day Tickets are not discounted - best to buy direct from Disney.

Undercover Tourist is the only place I would trust, outside of your company or AAA, etc. - a reputable, established organization. Most of the online "discounters" are a ripoff and you are just as likely to get a worthless piece of paper as an actual ticket, and yes, Disney will turn you away at the gate if you have an invalid ticket. It isn't their fault if you do something foolish. :)

I just had a friend email the same thing. I told her not too trust a place that did not have a good reputation. If it was to good to be true then it probably isn't true.

I have a ticket purchased from Undercover Tourist. It doesn't seem to have any identifying information on it. I'm afraid it couldn't be replaced if it gets lost or destroyed. Does anyone know how this works?

The back of the Disney ticket media has info on it. Usually has some identification numbers on it. My advice is to photocopy the back of the tickets, which can be replaced if lost.

If you don't do that, lost tickets are money down the drain.

Also, when you received ( receive ) your tickets from Undercover Tourist, they include a piece of paper with information on it regarding your purchase. I make a copy of this and the tickets(front & back) and keep it with me when I travel, just in case.

I have ordered from them numerous times and have never had any issues

I read on another thread that a family got to WDW and realized that they had left their tickets at home. They had purchased through Unercover Toursit. Called U.T. from Florida. U.T had record of their purchase are were able to supply replacements.
Hooray for Undercover Tourist!
I bought tickets from them two years ago.

How much of a discount does UT have on multi day tix? They would only possibly need a 2 day. Thanks for all the info.

The discount from liegit ticket resellers is not very large. If you have a large family, you will save enough to make you think you got a good savings.

No discounts on 2 day either; the discounts start at 3 days. If you receive the mousesavers newsletter they supply a link for an additional discount on Undercover Tourist tickets.
Also note that after 3 days each additional day of ticket cost only dollars - regardless oh where you buy them.

We have used both Maple Leaf Tickets and Undercover Tourist many times and never had a problem.

You aren't likely to see ANY discounts on 1- or 2-day tickets from the authorized resellers, as Disney doesn't sell to THEM at a discount. You can see decent savings on 3-day or longer though.

If someone is offering a 1-day ticket for less than $79+tax ($84.14), I'd be very suspicious.

There are some special program tickets that might be available for short stays at a discount, like convention or YES tickets, but they are generally limited in any number of ways and cannot be upgraded at all.

That is pretty much what I thought but Iwanted to be sure, SIL is paying for a whole extra family for one day so I want to be sure that I am giving her the right info. Can you still get tix at the resort hotels? We are at the Poly.

I would trust is AAA. We always renew our Fl resident annual passes through AAA and take the voucher card and receipt to a ticket window. I would stay away from any deal that looks too good to be true as if the tickets are not valid you are out of luck and your hard earned money. Not a good way to start a Disney vacation.
