Is it rude to ask for a table next to the aquarium at Coral Reef?

When we went to Coral Reef last time, we were seated on the highest tier & my kids didn't get the full effect of the aquarium.:rotfl:

So, I was wondering if & when we go back if I asked for a table right next to it, would they just laugh me away? I don't mind waiting.:upsidedow

Do you think they would accomodate?

You can ask (I do not see how there would be anything wrong with asking) but that does not mean you will get it. Many of the restaurants don't permit requests for special table locations. Don't know if Coral Reef is one of them.

During a visit years ago, when we were ready to be seated at Coral Reef, the table we were going to get was one of the high ones away from the tank....we asked if we could be seated closer to the tank and we'd wait if necessary.....the CM said sure! and went and got the next people in line and seated them at the table we were going to get, seated another group at a middle table, seated another group on the side and then a table by the tank opened and she sat us. Offer to wait if necessary since you might get a CM that'll keep you in the queue for the next open tank level table!

Make the first reservation when the restaurant opens and get there a little early. By doing this, you should be able to get seated where you like since it won't be too crowded.

we do the same thing as Aprilmommy; make first reservation when restaurant opens, get there 10 minutes early, and tell them nicely that you woud appreciate a seat by the tank.

It doesn't hurt to ask, but, really is there someone who wouldn't want to sit near it? Once we sat next to it and once we didn't.

When we went we asked for that and would wait extra if needed they said no problem and we got what we wanted. gl

We ask every year and have been accomodated every year. They're very easy going about it. You might have to wait for a table to open up, but they will do everything possible to sit you where you want to be! :)

We've been seated right at the tank...we had a diver with a sign that time. Would I do it again? No...way too many little kids pushing in, past our table to get right up next to the tank. Not sure why their parents thought this was okay.
In any case, if I were to go again, I would ask for a booth, on that bottom level, across from the tables that are next to the tank.

Doesnt hurt to ask but dont expect it...we asked in January and were seated on the very top...not the best for viewing the fish
