You can definitely have the ceremony off-site, but you're not off the hook for the minimum expenditures re: the reception. Don't know the other way around, but I'd assume it's the same deal.

Would you put yourself through the trouble of dealing with two sets of plans and planners for two different venues if you don't have to, though? More power to you, if you're willing!

You can do the Memories or Escape package which are just a ceremony then do your reception off site.

For a Wishes wedding you have to meet the minimum spend which for a ceremony only would be pretty hard to do unless you've got a lot of money to spend on the wedding overall.

Couldn't you just book the escape package, which just has the ceremony and a quick cake cutting reception, and then you can have the reception wherever you like. Thats what I was going to do at first.

Yes you can, I think that's what Chilly suggested. This is also what we did. But this can only be done with Memories and Escape packages.

okay good to know. yeah the planning is already crazy enough, it might be a good idea to just keep it simple i guess!

Ok that makes sense. Damn minimums :headache: I'll look into the other packages!

Ok thanks for allt he input!!! I guess I'll just have to look into it more! Urg Disney i sso frustrating unless you already have a contract! Otherwise all the information the give is so vague!!

Does anyone know any information about DL weddings???? That woudl be were I have the ceremony through disney and a reception at my friends mansion close by. I figured that could be a money saver to let me be able to have a really cool ceremony.

Any takers on DL? lol

Unfortunately, Disneyland has even fewer options than Walt Disney World. Even their version of the Escape package wouldn't work for you because it includes a meal.

Urggg:headache: damn you DL!

I love DL to death and would prefer getting married there. I wish I had a Passporters Guide for DL. Your WDW one has been so helpful (just purchased and and cant get my nose out of it:surfweb:).

Plus my whole family (and his) lives in SoCal so it would just be easier. Urgg.

I dont mind doing all the extras I just thought I would looking into to things seperate to save money.

Where were you thinking of having your ceremony at WDW? you mentioned having it in the parks, the only location for Escape weddings in the park is Canada at Epcot. Maybe that helps with deciding?
