is it pratical to exchange city pass the day before going?

I will be in Anaheim March 15-22 arriving arround 2pm that Saturday, can anyone tell me can I exchange my southern california city pass the day before actually going to one oif the parks? If so can it be down at downtown disney?
The idea is to avoid early morning lines just to exchange my city pass for disneyland tickets

Just never been to Disneyland so I am curious, I have been to WDW lots though
