Is it possible to shift a reservation 1 night?

We currently have reservations from Saturday 11/30 (2 days after thanksgiving) to Friday 12/6 - the 1st night (11/30) a 1 BR Magic Kingdom View at Bay Lake Towers and the rest of the 6 nights (11/30 to 12/6) a Studio Savanna view at Animal Kindgom Villas - Kidani. Currently we have an overlapping night on 11/30 (I originally booked BLT for Friday the 29th but just moved it to Saturday).

We'd like to shift our overall reservations from Saturday 11/30 to Saturday 12/7. Right now I need the last Friday at AKV - Savanna View. Don't really want to change resorts on the last night. If I'm able to add a night on Friday 12/6 can they drop my original Saturday 11/30 one at AKV and link them so we don't have to move rooms?

The quick answer is yes member services can do this for you if the room is available that you are trying to switch too. Just call member services and tell them you want to cancel the night of 11/30 in the AKV SV Studio and use those points to add the night on 12/6. They will just add the night to your original reservation.

This way you spend your first night at BLT then the next day move over to AKV and no longer have overlapping rooms .

Thanks. When I called the other day there still wasn't an AKV Studio SV available on 12/6 yet. Guess I need to try again tomorrow when I can check just that single day. Even if it's the standard view in Kidani that will be better than moving resorts on the last day.

Tommorrow is 7 months for 12/6, you could do it online at 8:00am eastern. Right now it's showing Kidani studios soldout for standard and savanna view. Jambo has both available.

Since you are adding and canceling, yes, call member services and they will set it up. I just had a bcv wait list come through which canceled and used points from a bwv reservation

Just make sure you get your days and dates correct when you call MS or you might confuse them and totally mess up your reservation. Your post refers to: Fri.,11/30,2 days after Thanksgiving.
Fri is only 1 day after Thanksgiving and it is 11/29 so I was totally confused reading your post.

Yeah you're right. Sorry about that. I meant Saturday. When I talked to MS she told me the system shouldn't have allowed me to double book under the same name on 11/30 (Saturday) or have a waitlist that overlapped a reservation I already had. Oops. But she straightened that out and was able to cancel the AKV on the 1st Saturday and get on the waitlist just for the remaining Friday 12/6, checking out on Saturday 12/7. She said there was a better chance of that waitlist coming thru for just 1 day than the full week I had before. Booked my home resort SSR just as a backup.

I would double check that. They should not have been able to waitlist 12/6 if it wasn't your home resort until tomorrow.
