Is it possible to request a 2 bedroom lock off?

We are traveling with friends. We have decided that we need the privacy. Our first thought was to get 2 studios. However, DH and I are spoiled by the 2 bedrooms. The only 2 bedrooms we have stayed in were dedicated and therefore would be too much "togetherness". I hate to reserve a 1 bedroom and 1 studio because the points in some cases are more than a 2 bedroom.

So is there anyway to guarentee a 2 bedroom lock off?

Book your stay at the BWV - all of the BWV 2 bedroom units are lock offs. There are no dedicated 2 bedroom units.

AFAIK, that is the only place you can "guarantee" a lock off 2 bedroom. Everywhere else, it's just a request.

All of the 2BRs in Jambo House at AKV are also lockoffs. Only Kidani Village will have dedicated 2BRs.

Why is this going to help. The "Lockoff" keys open both doors you are still "together" It's not like you can "lock" your friends out of your unit.

I know keys will open both doors but it will give us both a feeling of seperation with them being able to use their own door. My children would be using the pull out couch and I really don't want them disturbing us if they choose to get up earlier or come back later than us. This way they will have their own door access. Plus they will have their own balconies. I know when we stayed at SSR the extra bedroom didn't have their own balcony...but VWL did.

SSR has 2 bdr lockoffs that can be guaranteed. I have a confirmation right now that reads 2 bdr lockoff in the unit type description. THis is not listed under requests but in the confirmation information. We also have a 2 bdr dedicated for that trip and that confirmation reads dedicated. In the requests section it does read "Springs section , units in close proximity"

I'm on a waitlist for a 2 bdrm at VWL for Oct. We are bringing another couple with us and they would really like a sofa instead of two beds. So you can request a lock off instead of a dedicated. When I made the original reservation, we were at SSR and then changed at 7 months to VWL. We were on a waitlist there and that came through but not the lock off part.

Think I'll go check on that waitlist now ............

Not sure if this is true or not but a CM told me if you book with all points you can pretty much guarantee a lock-off unless the resort is extremely busy. With a cash or combination cash/points booking it's a request. As another poster already stated our lock-off request was listed right on our confirmation and also on the member website.
