Yeah, try soaking them in hot water and dish liquid... the mineral spirits are useless on water-based paint, they only work on oil-based. Depending on how bad they are, soaking them might work!
Take a pair of scissors and cut off all of the bristles that have paint on them. Then, throw the handle away and go to Home Depot and buy some new ones!!!
Even if you soak them, they will never work quite the same. You'll end up getting brush strokes on the painted surface from the stiffness of the hairs not being as bendy. Whatever you would spend on some solvent to remove the paint could go towards buying a new brush.
Actually there is a product that will remove latex paint from brushes. It is sold at Michael's stores and you will find it in the same aisle as the artist paintbrushes are in.
It's Latex Paint Remover and comes in a frosted white plastic bottle with blue writing on the label. It comes in different size botles as well and will cost about $5.00. Oh and it works great!
