Hi guys! We'll be in a cabin at the end of August and I know DD would love the Ohana Best Friends Breakfast at the Poly, but my question is, is there any way to use the transportation system to make it Poly by like 8 on a non-EMH day? Anyone know what time the boats start running or how much a cab would be?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about cab cost but I guess it would be around $20:confused3

It can be done using Disney transportation
Take the FW internal bus or your own GC to the marina, take the boat to the CR(this boat starts at 6:45) walk into the CR and upto the 4th floor, board the resort monorail(starts at 7) to the Poly.
Allow about 1 hour for any "just missed" connections.

Ok so the boat and monorail start this early even when the park doesn't open until 9? Just making sure. i had tried to call down to FW and ask when the boats left but nobody knew! The guy who was supposedly at the boat dock said they didn't have a boat that went to CR?! lol He said also said the boats didn't leave before like 8:30 I think, it just seemed weird to me. Thanks!

According to the bus drivers, the internal buses inside the Fort start about 6:30 - 6:40 am.

The small boat that runs between Ft. Wilderness, Contemporary, and Wilderness Lodge, starts at 6:45am. The resort monorail also starts between 6:30 and 7am.

Also, if you want to get to an early breakfast at Epcot, Studios, or Animal Kingdom, those buses start at 7am from the Outpost.

I'd suggest taking an early bus to the MK and then taking either the monorail OR the boat to the Poly. We took an early morning bus at about 7:15 from CB (not FW this time) to MK. Got off the bus at MK then walked over and took the boat to the Poly. We had planned on taking the monorail from MK to Poly but the boat was already there and ready to go. BTW, this was a great breakfast. The restaurant wasn't too crowded, there was plenty of character interaction and the food was pretty good too. It was a very nice way to start the day. Good luck! :)

The only problem is there is not a bus from Fort Wilderness to MK, the only option that direction that early is the small boat from the Fort to the Contemporary.

Unfortunatly there is no(regularly scheduled) bus from FW to MK, early or otherwise

I just assumed FW offered both boat and bus as transportation options. I would have thought that the bus would be made available especially for folks who are less able-bodied. Thanks for the info. You can learn something new everyday at the DISboards!

Actually, there is a bus, but it's kind of roundabout, and nobody has tested to see how early it runs. There is a bus from Ft. Wilderness to Wilderness Lodge, then a different bus from Wilderness Lodge to MK.

That is their new solution if the water levels don't allow ECVs and electric wheelchairs to board the big boats.
