Is it possible to Gift a Dinner at Disneyland?

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me on this. My parents are visiting Disneyland for the first time at the end of March for my dads 60th birthday.

As a gift I was wanting to book them dinner and was hoping that I could somehow pay for this without just giving them the money to take with them.

Anyone had any experience of doing this before? Am I able to phone up and leave my credit card details? or pre-pay a certain amount?

Which restaurant? I know someone who did this at NR. They worked with the restaurant ahead of time to get all the details ironed out. They are regulars at NR, so I don't know if that helped. But everything worked out fine. If you can't do this as planned, you could call the restaurant to find out the amount in question, e.g. Chef's Counter dinner for two + tax + tip at NR, and give your parents a gift card for that amount in a sealed envelope.
This is a great idea and I hope it all works out magically for you and your parents!

My other thought is, if you do a prepaid package like a meal and a show, you would know the exact amount it's going to be at least!

Or you could just make a ressie, give them say a $200 Disney gift card (or whatever amount you think is good) and then they can just spend whatever is left on it the rest of the trip. Might make it easier!

I had purchased the World of Color Dessert Party for my parents anniversary a few years ago. It worked out quite well since tax + gratuity is worked into the price (that you pre-pay upon booking). All they had to do was show up! My parents thought it was the highlight of their trip and they still talk about how special they felt
