Is it possible to do fantasmis and the star wars light show the same night?

Not usually possible, "rushed" or not.

Disney purposely schedules the shows in that manner, as the Star Wars viewing area
cannot accommodate the massive number of guests from the much larger Fantasmic! theater.

We tried it but by the time we got there the Star Wars show was already halfway through. Its really hard to exit out of Fantasmic. Big traffic jams.

Can both shows be seen the same night or is it to rushed?

Discovered yesterday that if you're going from Dec 16 to Dec 31, you can, but then you have to choose between F! and Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam.

Yes, you can but you have to be quick. When the finale is going in F! start to head for the exit. As you take that exit path, just head back into the park instead of out. When we were there in July, there were actually CMs standing at that fork in the road holding big signs. One pointed into the park and said "Star Wars Fireworks Viewing" and one pointed out of the park and said "Exit". Fireworks were just starting when we got to that point and there was still enough room for those who wanted to go watch.

I've had this question on my mind. Really torn.
We have Fantasmic dining package, AND have huge Star Wars fans in our group.
We'll probably wind up trying the plan where we exit early from Fantasmic to catch most of the Star Wars show.

Last time we went we did f!
I was disappointingly underwhelmed. It's not what I remembered from about 15 years ago at all:( we loved it so much and I talked it up so much over the years, then when we went again earlier this year all I could think was "we should have done the Star Wars fireworks show".
My vote is for Star Wars if you only do one.

Just to keep things straight for others reading along...
Fantasmic! currently at DHS is identical (except that they've added a few newer animated scenes to the "bubble montage") to the Fantasmic! DHS show from 15 years ago.
