OK..US experts...we had our first stay on Universal property this past summer and absolutely loved it. After having done that, there is no other way to do Universal. However, we already have a Christmas trip planned from 12/2 to 12/11 at Disney. I want to take one day, probably 12/9 to go see the Macy's parade and Grinchmas. (This is our first Christmas trip down and probably last thanks to school). Can I do both in one day? What times are the parade and the Whobilation ceremony?

TIA!

I will be there on the 9th too coming over from Disney!

Somoeone told me the parade (in US) will probably be at 5pm. As for whoville (IOA) I didn't think there was an event per se....just the area all decorated for Grinchmas.

Bumping this up in case someone w/ experience has better answers for you (us)

Grinchmas™
Dec. 9 – Jan. 1

The sly one of the season is back with his own blend of WHOliday cheer. Meet The Grinch™ in person during Grinchmas™ at Universal’s Islands of Adventure®.

Witness Seuss Landing™ transformed into the festive town of Whoville, all decked out for the season by friendly Whos, and get your picture taken with the mean, green one himself.

Wrap up the night with a Seussian-tree lighting ceremony and “Whoville Whobilation,” a musical performance of the beloved Dr. Seuss tale “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.

All this is included with your admission to Islands of Adventure!

Sure, you can do both! I do it all the time. You won't be able to do everything but you should be able to do all your favorites. Just be at the turnstiles by 8:45 AM.

Thanks Phantom! I appreciate the info. I thoroughly enjoyed my three days on site in August and loved FOTL, so I had my fill of rides! I'm really looking to just stroll around to enjoy the decorations and soak in the Christmas atmosphere. Just wanted to be sure I could see the Grinch and the Macy's parade on the same day. I appreciate the help!
