Is it possible to change who is in the stateroom?

I have two staterooms we three different families traveling together. They staterooms are on different decks.
Is it possible to change the people who are registered to each stateroom? Originally, we put girls in one room boys in the other room, but we would prefer now to keep families together. Can one person from each room switch? Do we have to tell DCL or just do it on our own? Anyone ever do this before? What is the best way to go about this?

Just contact DCL and tell them you want to switch the 2 people.

We were able to do some switching in advance but not everything we wanted based on when we booked and not everyone being platinum. BUT! Even with that, they were easily able to make the moves when we got on the ship. So it worked out totally fine.

We had a situation where we had 2 rooms for 5 of us. The 5th got added after we had booked 2 and 2, and it was just easier to put the 5th person in 1 room, but he was planning to actually stay in the other. Upon boarding we went to guest services and they were able to change him so that he had a key and charges went to the room he was actually staying in.

If the 2 rooms are linked, they will have the same dining time anyhow. If they have different dining times, then whoever is in the room will dine at the dining time for that room. Changing passengers won’t affect the dining time assigned to the room.

We just did this in July at guest services once onboard with no issue.
