Is it possible to change dinner times onboard?

We are looking to book a cruise but were told the late dinner seating is the only thing available. We have a 1 year old so don't want to experience a meltdown due to a late dinner. On other cruiselines, we have been able to change our dinner times while onboard. Does anyone have any experience with this on Disney?

Same as any other cruiseline.....if there is availability they will accomodate you. If there is not you either deal with the late seating or dine at Topsiders etc. You can speak to them at check-in.

We had late seating and one nite my 4yo fell asleep at the table. Our server asked if we would like early seating, they did have vacancy available. You do have options like Topsiders or room service. I think you can even check the baby in the nursery while you & spouse dine (takes about 2hrs)

Don't fret --keep checking back with Disney for a switch. Ask to be wait listed for the early dinning. When you get to port on cruise day make sure you ask on check-in. They will direct you to the location to change your rotation or dinning time. It will work out for you. Good luck.

I would suggest that you read through similar threads and posts from the last week or two; unfortunately, you will find less positive conclusions than the last poster's.

We were unable to get early seating on our January cruise. We did attempt to switch once onboard (kept asking daily), but to no avail. We had been on the waitlist for several months prior to the cruise.

Topsiders is open for casual dinner but not on the first or last night of the cruise.

I was quite ill one night and DH was with me at the medical facility at dinner time. After he got me to our stateroom, he went to Topsiders for dinner. He had a ribeye steak and said it was VERY good. He also enjoyed the rest of the dinner there.
