Is it possible to adjust housekeeping dates?

This is our first time staying 8 nights. We are scheduled for full clean Monday and trash and towel Friday. We'll have already showered for the day by the time they come Friday, and we're checking out Saturday, so those towels will only be used once. Can I request that they come Thursday?

You need to arrange with housekeeping in advance and I believe they will accomodate you. I was told 24 hours in advance at least.

Yes, you can change the days, just call housekeeping and make the request. Having said that however, I have requested a change probably 5 times and they have yet to get it right.

We also have requested a change in mousekeeping schedule and it was okayed but messed up. Eventually it got fixed but just be prepared to catch your mousekeeper to remind her of your changed schedule.

I would request them to come on Wednesday, then if they don't (which it sounds like you have a good chance of them not coming), you can hopefully catch them on Thursday.

On you paper confirmation, it will be listed which day they are coming for T & T or a full cleaning.

Thanks, now I'm not the only one. We tried to change ours in May this year and it was a diaster. We called housekeeping. We were there 12 nights, so we are set for FC, T&T, FC (check out the next day). So we called and asked for FC, FC, T&T. We didn't change our days, just the schedule. While housekeeping agreed it was silly for them to come in the day before check out to clean, when they had to clean the next day, I thought that was set. NOPE. We got FC, T&T, T&T. We got our bathroom cleaned ONCE in 12 nights. We called and they say they didn't know why the housekeeping got it wrong. They came back in and stripped our bed and changed the sheets that evening, but didn't touch the bathroom. I thought I was making it easy on both us and them, but we had to get out of our room when they came back in the evening to change the sheets. So messing with the schedule didn't work for us either.

Good idea. If they mess it up, maybe I can at least find them and get a fresh set of towels. That's my main concern. I can take the trash out myself, but I don't want to do laundry! We're trying to be "greener" by reusing our towels here at home, but I have to admit we tend to use them only once, so 4 days with the same towel is scary to me.
