I found out DD#2 wants to go on a cruise with DD#1 and I. The stateroom we are in sleeps 4, and she would be person #4. Do you know if it's possible to add another rperson to an exisiting reservation/ It is 70+ days out from the cruise. She is an adult, would this have any bearing?
TIA !

If there is room on the ship you can add them....its actually easier to add an adult becuase once there is a certain number of kids you can't add anymore but I don't think you should have a problem adding an adult as long as your room sleeps 4.

YOu really shouldn't have a probl since she's an adult, you have room in your cabin and it's usually slow in Feb. Call Monday and let us know how it goes!

What about adding a child if you have not reached the room capacity? Our situation: I'm thinking of booking a 2005 cruise. The passengers will be me, hubby and not-yet-born baby (not due til Spring 2004). But the agencies/DCL from which I've obtained quotes need the birthdate/name/sex of all passengers to actually reserve a cabin, so it is not possible to add that info for the baby yet. I would like to book the cruise as soon as possible to protect against price increases and have choice of cabins -- but I concluded I'll have to wait several more months. I had not even thought of the possibility of adding the baby to the ressie later. But the above posts indicate it may be difficult to add a child to a ressie?

The difficulty in adding a child at times is the capacity of the clubs. For example there is a cap of how many three and four year olds are onboard. Once the reach that cap, DCL no longer accepts ressies with 3 or 4 year olds. Since your child (congrats by the way!) won't be in a club, the issue will only be if there are too many people in general. Since we are this far out, I don't see that being a probl.

Scotch,
You can always put the baby on the reservation with a name of Baby (insert last name here), and indicate a birthdate is to follow later. DCL will allow a booking like that in an instance where the child has not yet been born.

Thanks for the quick responses! I'll start looking at dates/cabins/etc. in earnest, then.

I have not yet decided if I should ask my ds to bring a friend on our next cruise. It is hard to ask 11 months before. If we book with points and/or combination of points/cash, will this still be possible? Will we have to cancel and rebook and pay another $75. fee.

AnnaS--if you use DVC points to cruise (even points/cash combo) and you make changes there are additional fees imposed by DVC. Before you make that booking I would phone DVC and ask about the specifics of that. I believe they do charge an additional $75 fee to make changes (but this is what it used to be--it might have changed.) Be sure to check on that before you book.
