We take what we call the "cough pill" is Tessalon pills or the generic is Benzonatate. It may make you a bit tired, not really bad tired, but a little. They are wonder drugs. You can not chew them or anything like that because they will numb your throat/mouth.

If you are still coughing at work, then I would call and ask the doctor to call this in for you.

Feel better.

I know it seems strange, but I loved the drum skins on the light fixtures in the halls.

...well, good thing I got here for my last good-bye...spent 4 hours in the pediatric emergency room at the hospital with my DS...

Many, many prayers for you! I hope everything is okay. I remember those days and wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Is there anything I can do to help or maybe if you let us know what happened, someone may have experience or tricks to make your life a little more easy....

....he was foolin' around with his buddies - you know, typical 16-year-old teenager, wrestling stuff, when he apparently hit his ear.....he said that his ear was hurting him on Monday, but not so bad yesterday, until one of his classmates happened to look at his ear, saying, "WTH happened to your ear?" He's a wrestler, so he knows about 'cauliflower ear'; they both went to the gym teacher who looked at it and suggested that he see a doctor. Well, Dylan called me from school, where I picked him up and we immediatley went to his pediatrician. An hour later, was were headed for the emergency room and waiting for the plastic surgeon to look at his ear. Originally, the ped. dr. said that it was a hematoma, but Dylan actually tore (fractured) the cartilage. So, the surgeon had to cut it open, drain out the fluid, repair the torn cartilage, and sew it back up...

Can't say we ever had that happen, but DS did walk into a fence an slice open his head over his eye. My oh my does the face bleed. Good thing you were there when they did it.

The good thing is though that the face heals quickly if you take care of it. Being 16 and all, I am sure you will have to remind him to keep clean. Can he shower or does the area need to stay dry for a bit? I was thinking if you did, you could cover the ear with a mug nice and snug and hand wash his face & hair, then have him bathe. Then I thought about my 15yo and what he would do if I told him he had to bathe...

Then I said another prayer, but for YOU!!!!

...he's home today - he's mad that he now ruined his 'Perfect Attendance' record for the school year...:confused3

You did NO SUCH thing, unless you are his wrestling buddy, then I hold you responsible!:lmao: At our schools if they go in they get credit. Maybe you could talk to the office. It's not like he woke up and said he wasn't going in? Worth a try.

It's quite discouraging to see the "spring is in the air' signatures when I look up and SNOW is in the air here! GRRRR!! That sucks!:rotfl2:

Kimmar sorry to hear about your DS I hope he feels better soon...

When i was his age, I could less about the perfect attendance in school :confused3

Well the snow stopped falling and the refrigerator is fixed. We never buy the insurance for appliances but for some strange reason (probably because it was right after tax time and we had the extra money) we did for the fridge. It was $49.99 for 3 years. The parts and labor today would have been over $450.00 so I feel blessed today!:worship:
