Is it pool weather Christmas Week in December??

We were in Florida for two weeks of Christmas and New Years in December 2017. It was hot with the AC on for Christmas but we had a freeze overnight just after New Year's Day. The cold weather can happen but doesn't typically stick around. Swimming is definitely a possibility. Perhaps you can set some ground rules with the family so you don't end up in an uncomfortable situation.

We have been the week before Christmas two years in a row. One year we had to wear jackets and scarves day and night the next year we wore shorts and were in the pool every day. There is just no way to know.

Another posting confirming its a hit or miss combined with your position of what defines pool weather. We have visited various weeks during the Christmas Season and we did the pool each time. Watch the weather and swim based on the weather...not your plans. Time in the pool varied. This works well if you have a flexible schedule. During our last trip we went for a swim Christmas afternoon just to say we did it. :)

Maybe.
Maybe not.
There are times even if you want to swim, if it's cold enough Disney closes the pools. So the choice is removed. Heated water or not.
I've been there plenty of times when it didn't get out of the 40s in the daytime
Though, give it 24 hours, it's likely to be 70
So true. It was cold during our visit in January and we wanted to sit in the hot tub but they had shut down the whole pool area.

Definitely can be. We were there last year Dec 23-30. The mornings were chilly (we were wearing jackets and gloves). The first couple of days we didn't have much time to spend in the pool especially as we were with friends who like to go to the parks all day. But on about the 27th it was hot enough that we spent the afternoon in the pool and then did an hour or so every day for the rest of the week.

I have been at WDW every December since 1992. As others have said here, the weather can vary from the 80's to highs in the 50's to sunshine to heavy rain and thunderstorms. When I go I check the weather a day or two prior and pack accordingly. But I also pack for all kinds of weather to be on the safe side. Also it all depends on your definition of "pool weather". Being from Arizona anything under 80 too cold :)

Definitely take your swimsuits. We've swum, and hung out poolside every time we've been there, Christmas week too. I mean, it CAN be chilly, but it's been our experience that even if one day is chilly, the next day or so, it is lovely.
