Is it only me.... why are the boards so big?

When I am on the the main thread page, I have to scroll sideways to see the whole screen. It is only like this here on the DIS.. no where else and not on this Post a Thread screen either..

Is it only me??

Yep I have that too....it started earlier this afternoon.....it's kind of annoying.

It's because of the Announcement at the top of the boards.
