Is it okay to put family first? (Response to royal family stuff)

I'm torn about watching it in a way.

Part of me doesn't want to give them the air time.

And the other part of me is far too nosey to not watch it! So Yeah I'll be watching lol!

I won't be able to watch it until Monday evening as I'm in the UK, but I'll be reading this thread during the day on Monday to see what's being said!

I noticed another Daily Mail article saying that another teaser has been released this morning in the US. One thing that stands out from the transcript is when Meghan says "So as an adult who lived a really independent life to then go into this construct that is different than I think what people imagine it to be, it's really liberating to be able to have the right and the privilege in some ways to be able to say yes, I'm ready to talk."

Surely Meghan really didn't think that she was going to be able to act and say as she pleased whilst still upholding the role of a senior royal?

If that's what her feelings end up being and it's also true that the original fracture between William and Harry stems from Harry flipping out when William suggested they slow things down so Meghan could get a clear picture of what the gig was I wonder if Harry will review his own attitude? Of course we have no way of knowing if the story about what led to the schism between the brothers is true, but it does fit with Harry's demeanor since he's been in this relationship.

Unless I'm mistaken, none of us is currently dating or planning to date an heir to the throne (not even a spare heir). That alone makes us casual compared with MM.

I think its a bit of both really. He was obviously so smitten with her he couldn't see the pitfalls that lay ahead.
And I think she is so far up her own behind that she would not accept advise that was offered.

That doesn't really comport with his hyper focus on not seeing history repeat itself. I guess it would be inconvenient and awkward for him to invoke his mother's name in a way that doesn't show Meghan and/or himself in a sympathetic light.

I would have more respect for her / them if she came out and said, "I really did not realise how hard it would be fitting into the royal family. This last year I have had time to reflect on the fact that I maybe didn't give it long enough"
But I really doubt she is going to say that.
