Is it okay to cancel B/U Delta tickets

We have a flight out on Sun 5/21 on Delta. I booked back up tickets on Southwest in case of a strike. Can I assume that threat is over and cancel my Southwest tickets now?

There is almost surely no chance of a Delta strike on 5/21.
