I was thinking About Bringing My Laptop Computer With Me to the MK So I Can Twitter And that Sort of thing. I was Wondering if theres Any Security Issues with Bringing it?
.... And Yes i Know Im Probally Crazy anyways LOL

I think it'd be better if you could use a smaller device but there's no reason why you couldn't take it. :)

Any chance you could use a cell phone at all? That would seem so much easier, less cumbersome, if you just want to send tweets. Either way have a great time!! :)

I would worry about it getting wet/banged around on Splash, Space and BigThunder Mountains plus it's going to add weight to your bag, which seems to multiply over the day, but from a WDW security standpoint there shouldn't be a problem.

sounds like you need an iPhone.

do you have one of those tiny laptops?

You can, but I wouldn't.Too much of a possibility of it getting banged around on rides or wet, and I definitely would not leave it laying anywhere.

Yes but be carefull. I had a friend once have her stolen in the park.

I actually did bring mine in the park once. On our senior trip, the co-ordinators were a bit....well...bad at co-ordinating. They had us getting off the plane in the morning, and going straight to the park in the afternoon, so anything we took on the plane had to be taken into the park. :sad2: Nedless to say I had brought my laptop onto the plane. Why we didn't check into the hotel first , I'll never know.:confused3

:surfweb:

Going through the security line, I once saw a guy bringing a laptop and a whole bunch of electronic equipment (it must have weighed 50 lbs!) into DHS. I'm not really sure what it was for (my friend said she thought he had camera equipment), but it seem a bit excessive. Personally, I'm always trying to find ways to carry as little as possible!

Thank GOD I have my iPhone! :thumbsup2

As long as you have insurance for it, or if you don't plan on going on the more 'active' rides, or someone else in your party won't be riding and can keep it safe, sure...

Well, there are lockers. Not sure how safe they are. I would love to know b/c I want to haul some camera equipment into the park, but I don't want to risk losing any of it.

For what reason do you need to twitter while on vacation? Are you a celebrity or something that people would feel the need to follow your every move at a theme park?

Just another way to do a trip report I imagine.

I'll be tweeting from the parks in march for exactly that reason.

You really need a phone that lets you play on the net. I love my Verizon LG enV because I can tweet to my hearts content from it with no trouble at all. I can't imagine bringing my laptop to the parks, or even my mini for that matter.

I must be getting old and my "prime" was before all this twittering and whatnot. I love my DISboards and all, but when I'm actually AT the park, I prefer to just "BE" there, rather than telling others about what I'm doing. In a way, taking pictures even interferes with my "BEING" in the moment, but that I still do. No offense to any of you who DO like to be connected at all times. :upsidedow

Anyone who cares can read my TR when I get back! :thumbsup2

There's enough of that going on at home, no need to continue on a vacation. It's nice to go to WDW, no driving, computers, cell calls, just leaving the rat race for a week. We take our cells with us but they stay in the room, we're on vacation and everyone can see our pictures when we return.

i don't understand the appeal to tweeting.

i am a facebook geek, but i only update my status once a day, and i use it for work.

the whole.. "i'm picking my nose", "i'm at the gas station", "about to have lays potato chips", "etc etc etc".. i don't get it.

How about the "I'm at Expedition Everest/Soarin/Space Mtn/fill in the popular ride and the standby line is 20 minutes"
