Is it normal to get so annoyed....

I have found my kindred spirits in this thread! I actually get annoyed with myself with how annoyed I get at others when they call Walt Disney World "Disneyland". I get annoyed at "Disney World" when they are referring to just Magic Kingdom. For example, when they say that they are going to "Disney World, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom". To me,that's like saying, "I'm going to go to England, Liverpool, and Manchester." And, (and I know that this is probably the most ridiculous of all complaints) I don't like it when people write "Disneyworld". It's two words. Disneyland is one word, but Disney World, or, more appropriately, Walt Disney World are separate words.

OMG YES :goodvibes:goodvibes

This thread just reminded me of an argument I overheard while leaving Soarin' a few trips back. The husband and wife were talking about how great the ride was when the husband commented something about Disney World at the end. The wife corrected him stating that it is Disneyland at the end. The husband disagreed and insisted it was definitely Disney World. His main reason for KNOWING it was Disney World was where the Matterhorn was. You see, at Disneyland, it's not as close to the castle. The wife, getting quite a bit annoyed at this point, exclaims, "There's not even a Matterhorn IN Disney World." This, of course, leads to an argument about where there is an is not a Matterhorn. At this point, most people are listening to their conversation and getting amused. The wife wants to head over to Magic Kingdom to show him that there is no Matterhorn over there. Husband agrees and off they went. I wanted to follow them to see how it all turned out.

This is absolutely HILARIOUS :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I admit before I starting planning my trip to WDW last year I was constantly mixing up World and Land. I knew they were different I could just never remember which was on which coast. I think I ended up just referring to them as Disney in Florida and Disney in California if I ever had to talk about them. In defense I had only been to WDW and the last time was 15 years ago when I was 9. Of course now I know the difference so I can refer to each by their proper names :goodvibes

I had to hold my tongue last week in the Plaza when the Dad next to us was telling his family the history of Disney. And how Walt built WDW first and then Disneyland. Noooooooo!!!!
